Terms of use
Last updated 8 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and MotoRides, run by Matej Pribanić, Croatia. By creating an account you accept them.
Who can use MotoRides
You must be at least 18 years old. You must hold a valid licence and insurance for any motorcycle you ride, and follow the traffic laws where you ride.
Your account
Sign in with Apple or Google and keep your account to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on it. Your riding level and profile must be honest: other riders plan around them.
Riding is at your own risk
MotoRides helps riders find each other. It does not organise, lead, supervise or insure rides. Every rider decides for themselves whether to join a ride, how to ride, and when to turn back. Routes, places, opening hours and road information come from riders and public sources and may be wrong or out of date. Check conditions yourself, and never use the app while riding.
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for accidents, injuries, damage or losses that happen on rides or at meet-ups, or for what other riders do. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or your rights as a consumer.
What you post
You keep the rights to what you post. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show and share it within MotoRides so the service works, for as long as it's on the service. Only post what you have the right to share. Follow the Community guidelines.
Zero tolerance
There is no place on MotoRides for objectionable content or abusive users: harassment, threats, hate, sexual content, scams, or anything that puts riders at risk. Child sexual abuse material is reported to the police and the account is banned at once.
Moderation
Riders can report people and messages, and can block anyone. A person (not an automated system) reviews every report, aiming to decide within 24 hours. Depending on how serious it is, we may:
- dismiss the report,
- send you a written warning,
- remove a message,
- suspend your account for 7 or 30 days (you can't post, message or join, and what you made is hidden), or
- ban your account permanently.
Every decision comes with its reasons, sent to you in the app. The people who reported it are told the outcome, never the other way round: we don't tell anyone who reported them. A suspended or banned account can still see why and delete itself. If you think we got it wrong, write to matej.pribanic1@gmail.com and we'll look again. Records of reports and decisions are kept for 365 days.
Some rules apply automatically, without a person deciding each time:
- posts containing words on our list of slurs and sexual terms are refused;
- a message three different riders report is hidden until a person reviews it (and put back if it's fine);
- there are limits on how fast you can post, message and look for riders near you;
- a new account waits a day before messaging riders who aren't its buddies;
- a shared route comes off the public list after 50 "wouldn't ride it" votes.
Every decision a person makes tells you what we did, how long it lasts, whether we considered it illegal or against these Terms (and which rule), and how to ask us to look again. You can also go to the courts of your country.
Report illegal content
Anyone, with or without an account, can tell us about content on MotoRides they believe is illegal. In the app, use Report and choose "Illegal content". Or email matej.pribanic1@gmail.com with:
- why you believe it's illegal;
- where it is (the rider's name, the group ride, place, route or message, and when);
- your name and email (not needed if it's child sexual abuse material);
- a statement that you believe your report is accurate and complete.
We confirm we've received it, decide without delay, and tell you what we decided and how to challenge it.
Points of contact
For authorities, the European Commission and the Digital Services Board, and for riders and anyone else: matej.pribanic1@gmail.com. We answer in Croatian or English.
MotoRides Pro
MotoRides Pro is an optional subscription: €12.99 a month or €79.99 a year in the EU (prices in other countries are shown in the app before you buy), with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan for new subscribers. Apple takes the payment and the subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in your iPhone's Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before it renews. Refunds are handled by Apple. Codes for free or discounted Pro are redeemed through Apple too.
Pro adds the full rider list near you and anywhere, who viewed your profile, joining and posting group rides anywhere, messaging riders more than 60 km away, an unlimited route planner and a Pro badge. Free accounts can create 10 routes with the route planner in total; deleting one doesn't give it back. Drawing routes, joining and chatting about nearby rides, places and every safety feature stay free.
Pro riders are shown first in Riders near you and in search, labelled with the Pro badge. The badge only means the rider supports MotoRides: it is not an identity check or a recommendation.
The service
MotoRides is provided as it is, and features may change. We try to keep it running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
Law
Croatian law applies, without taking away the protection of the law of the country where you live. Disputes go to the courts of Zagreb, unless the law gives you the right to use your local courts.
